Max Force On Site Build Method:
Quality materials are vital for a long lasting fence. Unlike some companies, all of our wood is treated to prevent rotting and breaking. Our method requires the fence is assemble piece by piece using 4" x 4" wood post or metal posts, treated 2" x 4" x 16' running boards and 1" x 6" x 6' rough cut pickets. For extra security for your pets, we can add treated 2”x 6" x 16' running boards at the bottom of the fence to prevent digging and tunneling. Due to the length of the runner, the lumber is milled from the heart of large and mature trees. The pores are small or often closed. As a result, warping and cupping are minimized. To ensure all lumber remains secure, we use a series of special treated tipped, ACQ rated, ring-shank nails. A ring-shank nail has 50 reversed ovular rings which acts like threads on a screw when it punctures the wood.
At Rockwall Fence, running boards are key to making a strong, solid fence. We install a post every eight feet, but we stagger the running boards. Our method of staggering longer runners, coupled with the posts, creates a long lasting framework. Below is a small example of how the staggered method dramatically improves the strength of your new fence. Notice that each 16 foot running board connects to 3 posts and that there is not one post that all the running boards are butted together. Most fence companies only use 8 foot running boards and they are butted against each other making a natural pivot point every 8 feet. When a fence is built this way it is build in sections every 8 feet. Our way of building a fence we build it were the fence is all one unit making it so strong you will never have to worry about it falling over even in the strongest storm.
Only a small percent of Companies build to our standard. WHY? The answer is simple: The material requirements cost more, the skills needed for installation are greater, and the profit margin is lower. It is just a fair exchange between homeowners and companies which promotes long term growth. Our method of building can last approximately 12 to 15+ years in both splendor and longevity. It just depends on how well the individual homeowner takes care of the fence.
